Strength Training the Key to Belly Fat Reduction
Hi my friend,
Spot reduction on just your belly is a myth.
Imagine you BODY FAT being the BODY OF WATER in a large swimming pool. And you’re trying to scoop up water from the EAST SIDE of the pool.
Question: Will just the water at the East side of pool be reduced? Or the whole pool of water?
The whole pool, isn’t it?
It’s the same thing with your belly fat. The reduction you’re trying to work on, “dissipates” throughout the whole body.
So circling back to the question.
How do you target stubborn belly fat?
We target our whole body.
We do that with a combination of
- Strength Training with compound exercises, that targets multiple muscle groups throughout your body:
- We increase our muscle mass, and elevate our resting metabolic rate (RMR). Muscles are more metabolically active than fat tissue, meaning they burn more calories, even at rest.
- We increase our fat oxidation. Our body oxidize fat for energy better.
- We increase insulin sensitivity. Our body regulate blood sugar levels, reducing the likelihood of excess glucose being stored as fat.
- We stimulate our hormonal response, such as muscle growth and fat metabolism, and aid in the mobilization and breakdown of stored fat, including our belly fat.
- Cardiovascular Exercise. Yes. Combining Strength Training with Cardio enhance our overall calorie expenditure and contribute to a greater reduction in body fat, including our belly fat.
- A Healthy Diet:
- We eat a balanced diet: Include a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
- We limit added sugars, processed foods and alcohol consumptions
- We choose healthy fats, control our portion sizes, and eat mindfully.
- We stay hydrated and get enough sleep.
- Staying Consistent. We either keep on moving, or we stop. There’s no middle ground in tackling those pesky belly fat.
And in time, you’ll get a great physique, together with your reduced belly fat.
Hope it helps. If it does, please
