The Body's Incredible Adaptability During Strength Training
Hi my friend,
During heavy exercise, our less-used organs, such as the renal and digestive systems, do experience a decrease in blood supply. This is because our bodies are prioritizing blood flow to the muscles that are being used during exercise.
However, our bodies are very efficient at adapting to changes in blood flow. Our less-used organs are able to reduce their metabolism and function at a lower level during exercise. This allows them to survive with the reduced blood supply.
In fact, our kidneys actually play an important role in regulating blood pressure during exercise. They do this by filtering out excess fluid and electrolytes from the blood. This helps to prevent blood pressure from rising too high during exercise.
So, while our less-used organs may experience a decrease in blood supply during heavy exercise, they are able to adapt and function normally.
The apostle Paul compares the body of Christ to a human body. He says that each part of the body is important and that they all work together to make the body function properly. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
In the same way, our bodies are made up of many different organs and systems, each of which is important for our overall health and well-being. Even our less-used organs play a vital role in keeping us healthy.
So, next time you're working out hard, remember that your less-used organs are working hard too. They are sacrificing their own blood supply so that you can achieve your fitness goals.
Hope this helps. If it does, please
